MOQ, tiered pricing, and how wholesale jewelry quotes actually work
Why MOQ varies tenfold between styles, how tier pricing maps to your order size, and what a quotation should state in writing.
Hidden MOQ and hidden pricing are the two fastest ways to lose a wholesale buyer. Here is how our quoting works, in the open.
Why MOQ varies per style
A stud earring with standard posts can be produced at 12 pcs; a 38-gram Cuban link chain needs 100 pcs before the production run makes sense. MOQ is a property of the style, which is why it is stated per style — on the product page, in the catalog filter, and in the quotation.
Tiers, in ranges
Quantity bands carry different unit prices. On public pages you see the reference range for the style’s MOQ band; the exact tier table comes with your quotation, where it can reflect your actual quantity and destination. Ranges, not single points — because a “fixed” wholesale price is usually either padded or unsubstantiated.
What a quotation should state in writing
Material grade, plating method and thickness, dimensions and weight, MOQ, tiered prices, lead time, delivery term and claim window. If a quote is missing two of these, you are not comparing offers — you are comparing stories.
